HBHansen Construction Inc. > Owner, President- Bernie Hansen and his wife Kristen started HBHansen in 1992 with a mission to build quality projects while treating clients, associates and employees with honesty and integrity. As an expert in the technical aspects of construction, Bernie has a fantastic ability to calmly problem solve any issues that arise during construction. One HBH client recently stated “I’m not sure what makes Bernie so easy to work with but you should try to bottle it and sell it.” When he is not overseeing projects for HBH Bernie can be found cruising local waters with his family on their boat.

HBHansen Construction Inc. > Owner, General Manager - Kristen Hansen is our team leader and motivator! She shares a vision with Bernie on where HBH is headed and is passionate about directing the group in a positive, ethical manner. Overseeing the company’s financial and human resource operations are two major departments Kristen also looks after. When she’s away from the HBH office, Kristen spends time with their three children, Erik, Alex and Kate. She has also served as a motivational speaker with Northwest Christian Speakers Bureau.

HBHansen Construction Inc. > Superintendent – Jerry Sebens has been operating and maintaining construction equipment since 1962! He teams up with our dirt works crew to work on site prep, excavation, utilities, installation of trails, roads and more. He is a certified septic installer, forklift operator and flagger. Jerry has also been trained in trench safety and is our erosion control lead. When not at HBH Jerry serves as a certified EMT and volunteer firefighter. He enjoys spending time outdoors camping and hiking and playing with his grandchildren.

HBHansen Construction Inc. > Superintendent – Tom Sheridan came to HBHansen in 2001. He has worked in the construction industry for 27 years, 17 of those as a journeyman carpenter and currently as a superintendent. Tom has furthered his training by attending continuing education classes in applied engineering, drafting, project management, customer relations, forklift operation and first aid. Tom loves building but in his off time he enjoys coaching youth baseball and assisting with the Tiger Scouts. He also enjoys fishing, hiking, skiing, boating and music.

HBHansen Construction Inc. > Project Manager/Estimator – Tim DeBruin serves as project manager on commercial and residential jobs and also heads up our dirt works division. He excels at working as a team and managing crews in an efficient, organized manner. Tim joined HBHansen in 2004 and quickly built relationships with our clients who say he is “very reliable and easy to work with.” He has received additional training in cost awareness and production control, is a certified flagger and forklift operator and holds his current first aid certification. Tim loves to go on fishing adventures in Canada and spend time with his family.

HBHansen Construction Inc. > Construction Coordinator – Terry Scott has a background in construction and customer service which makes him a great match for HBHansen. Our clients enjoy his friendly manner and can-do attitude when he’s on the jobsite. Terry has worked with our commercial and custom home divisions since 2006 building quality projects in Whatcom County. He is a certified forklift operator and maintains a current 1st aid card. Terry lives in Canada with his wife and enjoys spending time with their two horses.

She is a 2007 graduate of Whatcom Community College with a degree in Business Administration & a certificate in Hospitality and Tourism. In addition to answering phones and general office duties, Brandi assists our project managers with subcontracts and accounts payable.
